Ahh, fall. Such a bittersweet time of year, isn’t it? There is the sadness that comes with the close of another wonderful summer. Gone are the long days at the pool or beach, the sleeping in, the spontaneous day trips, and the late night fireworks. They’ve been replaced with early mornings, packed lunches, bus schedules and after-school activities. For some, the fall is a time of great excitement and anticipation. Our kids are still young enough to really love school and they just couldn’t wait to see their friends again and to make new ones. As excited as some kids are about returning to school, some parents are equally excited. For parents, Fall signifies a return to “normalcy” and “routine,” and for parents like us who had their youngest child begin kindergarten this year, Fall means an extended time of blessed silence in the house. Ohmmmm.
However, there are those who dread Fall and all it brings with it. For parents of children with asthma, fall means an onslaught of allergy-related issues and concerns. For parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or ADD/ADHD, fall can raise questions fraught with anxiety such as “how will my child get through this school year?”, “I hope his teacher understands how to work with him,” “is the IEP clear and detailed enough?” “how will she react to her medication this year?” and “gosh, I really wish we could find something different to help her this year.” I understand. We all want what is best for our kids. Unfortunately, we don’t always know what that is. We listen to the people we trust, the ones with the education and experience, but we don’t always seem to get the results we want for our kids. But, what if this year could be different? What if there really was something that could help your child? Would you be interested in learning more?
Fall also marks the beginning of cold and flu season. For parents of kids who have struggles with their immune systems and seem to get every cold, sneeze, ear infection, stomach bug, virus and headache that goes around, this can be a pretty scary time. I get it. I really do. But, what if it didn’t have to be that way? What if this year, and every year from now until the end of their life, could be different? Would you like that? Would your child like that?
We want to give you the opportunity to explore a different approach this year. We would like to offer you the opportunity to “Fall” Back into Health. Because, what if we did hold the key to your child’s success? What if chiropractic was the missing link to your child’s health and well-being? Aren’t they worth the time to find out? We think they are. In fact, we KNOW they are!
